With two interesting calls, AiNed is calling on (innovative) SMEs to jointly increase and retain AI knowledge for the Netherlands: AiNed Innovation Labs 2024 and AiNed Learning Communities 2024.

AiNed Innovation Labs 2024

The AiNed Innovation Labs focus in particular on innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups and scale-ups in the application areas mentioned below. In addition, to relevant larger companies, knowledge institutions and civil society organizations. There are many parties that can participate in an InnovationLab. Three roles are distinguished: core partners, flexible partners and lab management.

The call focuses on four application areas:

  1. energy and sustainability
  2. health and care
  3. mobility, transportation and logistics
  4. technical industry

Planning

  • March 19, 2024: Webinar for questions about the shortened proposal(review webinar and sheets)
  • April 5, 2024: Deadline for submitting abbreviated proposal
  • April 8, 2024: Co-creation workshop, 12.30 - 5 p.m., Malietoren, The Hague
  • April 19, 2024: Co-creation workshop, 9.30 - 13.00 hrs, Beatrixgebouw Jaarbeurs, Utrecht
  • May 15, 2024: Pitch session, present intended full proposal
  • May 28, 2024: Webinar to ask questions about the full proposal
  • July 5, 2024: Deadline for submission of full proposal
  • September 2024: Expected decision first round of AiNed call Innovation Labs

AiNed Learning Communities 2024

The AiNed Programme provides 28.4 million euros for Learning Communities, which will be awarded in two rounds. EUR 15.6 million is available for this first round in 2024.

Companies and/or social organizations as well as knowledge institutions (from MBO to WO level) can be part of an AiNed Learning Community. Within a community AiNed distinguishes the following roles: core partners, team-leads and community participants (knowledge receivers and knowledge providers).

The call focuses on four application areas:

  3. mobility, transportation and logistics
  4. technical industry
