As of 1 July 2025, Peter Stolk, chair of Holland High Tech (the Dutch Top Sector High Tech Systems and Materials), will succeed Marc Hendrikse as chair of NXTGEN Hightech. With this change, the National Growth Fund programme welcomes a new figure at the helm; one with deep roots in the high-tech sector. For Holland High Tech, the appointment strengthens the connection between the top sector and the NXTGEN programme. Stolk takes over from Hendrikse, who played a defining role over the past five years in shaping the programme’s development and direction.
Marc Hendrikse was involved with NXTGEN Hightech from the very beginning and, as chair, served as a driving force behind the programme. His vision, broad network and positive leadership style were essential to the launch of more than 60 projects, involving over 340 partners and nearly one billion euros in total investment.
With the appointment of Peter Stolk, the strong link between Holland High Tech and NXTGEN Hightech remains firmly in place. As chair of the top sector, he brings not only strategic vision but also deep subject-matter expertise, building on many years of experience in the high-tech industry. Peter:
It's an honour for me to take over the role of chairman of NXTGEN Hightech from Marc Hendrikse. The National Growth Fund programme covers a broad and important range of innovation areas that align well with the National Technology Strategy and the innovation domains of Holland High Tech. These are concrete public-private collaborations in which innovation is deployed to tackle societal challenges and strengthen the Netherlands' earning power. I look forward to further strengthening the connection between both organisations, which has historically been very strong.
