A new KIC call will soon open at NWO: Digital Twinning: multidisciplinary simulation for in-depth and up-to-date insight. This call encourages interdisciplinary research within public-private consortia into the development and application of Digital Twins. The expected deadline for the call is 14 May 2026 at 11:00 AM. A total of €7 million in funding is available.
Digital Twins can simulate processes based on real-time data and adapt autonomously. They provide in-depth insight into existing practices and contribute to optimisation, increased productivity, and improved decision-making in both public and private sectors.
The call is part of the Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (KIC) and addresses societal challenges as outlined in the Knowledge and Innovation Agendas. In this case, it concerns the Digitalisation KIA, coordinated by Topsector ICT.
