The National Technology Strategy (NTS) forms a key foundation for the Dutch government's innovation policy. Based on the NTS, the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for Key Enabling Technologies (KIA ST) has initiated the development of action agendas for each NTS technology. Parallel to this, the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) recently developed Regional Strengthening Plans around fourteen value chains. These initiatives offer significant opportunities for synergy and strengthening within the Dutch innovation ecosystem.

To maximize these opportunities, the leaders of the ten action agendas and the leaders of the fourteen value chains met this week at Oost NL. The meeting had two objectives:

  • Getting to know each other better to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Investigating which themes benefit from joint action and where individual progress is more effective.

The meeting yielded valuable results. Knowledge was actively shared and connections were sought in both the planned sessions and informal discussions. Participants exchanged insights and concrete plans. The input gained will be used in the final sprint of the action agendas, which are expected to be completed before the end of this year.
